EuroNGOs Conference and Membership Meeting, 8-9 June 2006, Vilnius, Lithuania
The 2006 EuroNGOs Annual Meeting was hosted by the Family Planning and Sexual Health Association (FPSHA) in Vilnius, Lithuania. This year's theme was 'Advancing Sexual & Reproductive Health and Rights Internationally: What Role for the Enlarged EU?'. The enlargement of the European Union has brought dramatic changes in European policy-making with unpredictable consequences for support for SRHR. The overall goal of the Annual Meeting was to build a more complete understanding of the challenges and benefits of EU leadership in advancing SRHR internationally and to address the specific need to increase the capacity of new Member States to engage in and influence EU Development Policy.
The 2006 Annual Meeting offered opportunities for networking, building knowledge and encouraging partnerships for every one of the 107 delegates who attended. The final programme included plenary sessions, panel discussions, working groups, and a speakers'corner.
