PSN: SRH Conference for Internatıonal Volunteers

The Margaret Pyke Trust with the Population & Sustainability Network is organizing the following conference for volunteer clinicians: Maternal, Infant & Sexual and Reproductive Health in the Developing World. The conference takes place on Saturday 2nd December 2017 Royal College Of Physıcıans, London.

For doctors, nurses and midwives volunteering to work internationally, whatever their specialty, this one day course offers essential guidance about how to assess risks and prioritise the sexual and reproductive health issues that clinicians might be faced with at developing world volunteering placements.

Sexual and reproductive health is always of critical importance, and never more so than in the developing world. The aim of the day is to communicate and summarize key points and guidelines for each topic and to set priorities to ensure that volunteers understand and engage in promoting key interventions as outlined by WHO to improve SRH. It will reflect the challenges and opportunities of working in a sector with such skill-mix and diversity and provide insights into dealing sensitively with local customs and practices

The fee of £220.00 includes all refreshments and a buffet lunch. A discounted rate of £175.00 currently applies.
