Deborah Rubbens, Network Coordinator

Deborah coordinates the work of the network and manages the Secretariat. She has more than ten years of experience in international health and development. Deborah has worked with private healthcare organizations, small national NGOs and large international NGOs, as well as a variety of public and private donors. Before joining EuroNGOs, Deborah was most recently with Family Health International (FHI 360), where she gained significant expertise in program and operational management as well as business development. Deborah is passionate about sexual and reproductive health, and has managed projects to prevent and treat HIV/AIDS, improve maternal and child health services and provide access to family planning services. Deborah holds a law degree, an LL.M. with a focus on health law and policy, and a Masters in Public Health. As a Belgian national, she speaks Flemish, English and French.

Helena Szczodry, Senior Officer

Helena leads on the network’s convening, information-sharing and advocacy activities. Before joining EuroNGOs in 2016, she worked at the European Network of Migrant Women in Brussels and the Dobra Wola Foundation in Krakow on issues related to migrants, women’s rights, anti-discrimination and youth as well as gained diverse experience in the Eastern Europe and the Caucasus in the field of capacity building for grassroots organizations, communication, research and events management. Helena holds an MA in Sociology from the Jagiellonian University in Cracow and a minor in Development Studies from the University of Maastricht. A Polish national, she is fluent in Polish and English.

Anamaria Suciu, Administrative Assistant

Anamaria is responsible for general administration and events management since May 2017. Before joining the Secretariat, Anamaria worked for IPPF EN, as the regional youth network coordinator (Aug. 2015- Aug. 2016) and as an assistant to the programme team (Sep. 2016 – Apr. 2017). In Bucharest, Romania, where she comes from, Anamaria worked for SECS (Society for Education on Contraception and Sexuality) on volunteers’ and youth activities and being part of the coordination team for a project on breast cancer. Anamaria has an academic background in Sociology and Communications and holds a Master Degree in Politics, Gender and Minorities. On a more personal level, Anamaria self-identifies as a feminist and a passionate SRHR advocate. She is fluent in Romanian and English and has an intermediate level of French.
