Facilitators Selected for 2019 HLPF Ministerial Declaration

The permanent representatives of Bahamas and Sweden were announced to serve as co-facilitators for the political declaration resulting from the UN High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development in 2019.

The permanent representatives of Bahamas and Sweden were announced to serve as co-facilitators for the political declaration resulting from the UN High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development in 2019.

In 2019, the HLPF will convene from 9-18 July, during which it will conduct in-depth reviews of:
SDG 4 - quality education,
SDG 8 - decent work and economic growth,
SDG 10 - reduced inequalities,
SDG 13 - climate action,
SDG 16 - peace, justice and strong institutions,
SDG 17 - partnerships for the Goals.
Furthermore, during this meeting the voluntary national reports (VNRs) of 51 countries will be discussed as well as the Global Sustainable Development Report (GSDR) which is prepared every four years. In addition, the UN General Assembly will convene a meeting of the HLPF at the level of Heads of State and Government for one-and-a-half days from 23-24 September 2019.
