Registration open for 2019 UN Commission on the Status of Women

The sixty-third session of the Commission on the Status of Women will take place at the United Nations Headquarters in New York from 11 to 22 March 2019 with the priority theme “Social protection systems, access to public services and sustainable infrastructure for gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls” and the review theme “Women’s empowerment and the link to sustainable development”.

Registration

CSW63 registration for NGOs in consultative status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) will be open online via the United Nations INDICO registration system from 9 October 2018 to 27 January 2019. More information, including a registration link, can be found here.

Opportunities for NGOs to address the Commission

The NGOs in consultative status with ECOSOC might engage with the Commission through:

  • submission of written statements,
  • making a speech during the general discussion
  • intervening from the floor during an interactive panel
